Someting new, but not in a good way.
Okay, this is very odd. I woke up last night standing in my kitchen. I can only assume I sleptwalked there, something I've never done before in my life. I opened my eyes, or maybe they were open already, I'm not sure, but I knew I was standing and I knew I was not in my bedroom. So I said 'ooorrorororo' with fright or something stupid like that and put my hand out in front of me, promptly walloping it off the wall(it is sore today). Disorientated, I felt along the wall and my hands ran over my plastic recycling bag and then the hot water heater. That was when I realised I was in my kitchen.
I didn't bother turning on a light but scampered back to bed as fast as my legs could carry me. It then took me ages to get back to sleep as I was worried I might take off again. This was around 4am or thereabouts.
Has that ever happened to any of you lot? What might cause it? Is it dangerous? What if you head off out the front door or something?

I am a regular sleepwalker, and have a few diifferent tales which have freaked me out. For example, the time I was at my then boyfriends brother's wedding where I found myself naked in the hallway outside the hotel room unable to get back in or another time when i stayed at a mates house only to find myself far outside the flat, along the quays near capel st (the flat was there as well, so I hadn't gone far). I find that if i've had a lot to drink, my sleepwalking antics are worse.
I conjecture you were in a state akin to a hypnotic trance, Ms Cat, which is a black human art if ever there was one. I hope this Eviltwin isn't another blogger in disguise. I blame SafeT for starting this aggravating fad.
My cousin once sleepwalked out onto their deck and hopped in the jacuzzi, which eventually woke him up... he didn't believe he had a sleepwalking problem until he woke up in the hot tub...
This has nothing to do with your sleepwalking problem, though -- I don't know anything about fixing it, only that it provided hours of amusement for us as kids, finding out where our cousin had sleepwalked to next...
Personally,I'd hold Hazeleyes responsible.He either left you delirious ,contented and floating on air,or disappointed,unfulfilled and uneasy to the point of sleep-walking.

Hello eviltwin sister and my, how that title feels me with fear. Welcome to my humble blog. That story of finding yourself strolling along Ormond Quay area at night- asleep-just gave me the willies.
GB-say that it was black art, how would one go about breaking such a malign curse?
Slim- I can assure you I was super unnerved. I've never woken up standing before. Very very odd.
Oh now Barney, behave- he was masterful and enthusiastic, so I absolve him of any blame, indeed at this stage he is so far ahead on brownie points I can hardly catch up, although I will endeavour to try with all of my heart. He loves that sort of thing.
Anyway if this wandering continues I plan to tie my foor to the bedpost. Let's see if my tricksy sleeping self gets out of that.
Me know a little bout sleepwalking FMC cause me use to suffer it something bad when me was little monstee. Me seem to have grown out of it, but....
As me understand it, there am lots of strange brain candy in you head and they all do lots of different stuff. Now, the brain make this candy for itself to use, but some time things just not go right. One of them candies ( me not know real name so we call it sleep candy) am in charge of paralyzing you outer mussels during sleep. This way, when we dreaming bout climbing trees, chasing bunnies or shagging movie stars... we not lying in bed reaching for handholds, kicking our feet or reaching for handholds. Now if things not go right with sleep candy, either brain not make enough or use enough or it am blocked by other candies, then we not paralyzed when we sleep and what we dream, we do. Usually it am just walking around home, but sometimes it am going outside, eating food or even shagging bedmate. And we never really awake or know we doing it. But not to worry. Our subconscious no want us hurt, so it watch out for us while it take us on walkies.
Me tell you what we tell Foot Eater about him black out. There am lots of stuff that can lead to something like this. Food, booze, drugs, stress, one time simple screw up in brain candy. This am probably one time thing and you got nothing to worry bout.

Stinking Pete once sleepwalked after working all night so this was 11am. He went to Superquinn, bought 6 jam doughnuts, proceeded to eat them in the car park spilling jam all down his front which he then smeared all over his face.
He then urinated all over the handle of someone's car thinking it was his toilet.
It would have been all right but he always sleep stark naked and seeing Stinking Pete naked is not something that anyone wants to see.
