Dawkins Update.

Don't forget chumlies, Dawkins takes on the mighty woo tonight, eight o'clock, Channel 4, for anybot who's interested. This bot will be glued to her seat and probably yelling, 'SEE SEE! WOO!I PHOOEY, BOSH, FLUMMERY!! TOLD YOU PARAMOUR, WOO!'
Then I'll ring my friend who believes in mediums and crystals and fuck knows what else and annoy her until she tells me to fuck right off. It's annoying and I'll be super smug and argumentative, it's the Dawkins' way.

I would watch it, FMC, but I doubt it's showing here. We watched a similar program by Penn and Teller called "Bullshit" where they debunked lots of popular ideas.

Have fun yelling at the television!

Wish I could see that, but I doubt we'll get that over here...

Let me know when it's on YouTube, though!

Kim, are your poor tots being subjected to to the all powerful people's front of Judea? Or the Judean people's front?
The little goth kid was booted from her religion class last year for being an outpoken athetist, most amusing. Well, I laughed.

Evening, with all this non-believer malarkey, whom can your children turn to in times of crisis? I was raised a catholic as I’m sure you where and I can almost guarantee that in times of trouble you'd be praying like there's no tomorrow, so what do our youth have? Where is their stability? Their rationales, which will reinforce their parent’s guidance and help them, become positive members of society? With all these lovely atheists, striving to be individuals and different, openly encouraging children (it seems) to reject religion what do they have to turn to for guidance and support when friends and family seem impossible. Religion and responsibility go hand in hand it appears some people lack both.

I used be a devout follower of the Goddess Anoia until I began using basins instead of drawers.

Now, I believe only in the beauty and wonder of the human mind. Although tits and ass are nice too.

I'm a rampant agnostic, I know I've said it before but I don't mind repeating it. Rampant I tells ya. I neither know or don't know if a god exists or not.
HOWEVER I will swear by the powerof greystoke that reiki and merduims and all that bogus dog shit is the biggest lload of cock-amamie bollocks to ever have appeared and if Dawkins is happy to slice and dice those frauds I'll be VELLY happy to sit and cheer.

O god yeah, those money making artificial baby cults, I definitely wouldn't entertain, some would argue the catholic church and likes are nothing more than glorified mega cults but at least they promote fundamental values which are essential to all societies and on the whole they make a significantly positive contribution to society. I'm not a bible basher, I’m on the fence myself for the most part plus I fell over into the dark side on numerous occasions. I’ll send my dingers to mass though just to give them structure.

I won't, I'll leave it up to them, if they want to go or not.
We will do like every good and moral person in Ireland seems to do, we will hang around Homebase and Alantic DIY on sundays. All hail the new religion!

I want my children to have respect so mass it will be at least until puberty sets in. On a lighter note you will create a generation of blasphemous DIY experts, hmm it has a nice ring to it. I cannot belate your new found religion as I don’t frequent DIY stores I am more of shoe person.

As am I, but not on a Sunday, that's more of a weekday (around eleven seem to be the best time) alone thing, where you can dribble and go 'cor blimey, Choo Choo' and 'got these in a bigger size?' in peace and for as long as you should wish.
No Nony- Mouse, Sundays are for reading the papers, lamenting hangovers, avoiding people called Claire, glaring cross-eyed at paint charts and watching the paramour make googly eyes at Bar-B-Ques, and to perhaps partake of a late afternoon/early evening pint and a bit of footie, now that the premiership is back.
Sigh, I wish it was Sunday right now.

Trees have a 'treeness' to them, rocks have a 'rockness' to them, and Mister Kumhar-who has been around since the big bang in one form or other and will be here for billions of years more-, 'understands this,' to be fact, not that he's asserting it, just that it is fact and he understands it better that you or me, or Dawkins, for that matter.
Ah crazies...
Which segues nicely into what I'm about to do next, go to bed with Hawking and A Brief History of Time to keep me company.

Where me WILL agree with you completely with all this medium crystal hugging new-age other sided bullshit... me do hope that if Dawkins ever attempts to disprove monsters you can tell him where to stick it.

I haven't read it, if I can make my way through Hawkins without going cross eyed, I'll consider it next.

It makes an interesting read, if you have a great deal of patience (I'm not a fan of Hawkins). Darwin lays a good foundation for more complex theories, not that i have infinite knowledge, as i said i'm a shoe person. I'll have to go wondering around town to find this bloody book now.

Many Thanks!
