Motivation for fatcats.

15k.
I'd like to say they were a good kilometres but they were not. They were a guilt riddled painful 15k, with me muttering furiously at myself. I thought you weren't going to drink in the run up to the marathon you fucking stupid idiot, I might have said, oh, those two little bottles of Ballygowan water are gonna cure your dehydration for sure, idiot, ah, tired you ale swilling twit? Hum? How's the body doing now when faced with this hill? betcha bottle of beer 4 is singing to you right now huh? Idiot...
And so on it went.
Nonetheless, despite my best attempts to hamper, belittle and impede myself I have completed my run. I am now going to go upstairs, vomit, take a shower and read the papers for a while. I hope you are all having a much nicer Sunday.

Ah, self-recrimination is the fuel that keeps us going, FMC. Don't punish yourself too much for imbibing.

Normally I wouldn't, but two weeks before the event and every stupid thing I do counts. After this weekend I'm not touching a drop until the sometime late evening of the 29th. I swear it on my vintage fur.

Better this weekend than next though. This way you won't be tempted next week.

There is that, Darling. I think I'll just gently write this weekend off as the blow out before the big push. Personally I blame the paramour and his 'meet me town for lunch' blather. I mean, when have we EVER met in town for lunch that didn't involve meeting up with other folk and then the inevitable 'let's just go have a quick drink' routine.
No, I blame myself actually. I'm incorrigible. And the paramour has gone to play footie so I don't even want to THINK about what state he is in.
I've just made a pot of coffee. I'm going to sit here and work, perhaps even be a bit productive for a while.

Ah sure what can ye do me auld mucker if you have some good ones your damn sure going to have some bad ones. You have tremendous dedication. I made an absolute balls of my run yesterday. My biggest worry was drinking two much water so I was meticulous in calculating how much water I should consume; I only put a small surplus in my pack. Everything was going swimmingly until I reached 36.5 and boom, got a nosebleed and had to stop. I wouldn’t have time to try another run so that’s it game over for me.

Nonny if you can do 36 you can do 44. It's not that much more, even if you have to walk the last bit.
