Get walking.

Happy Ginger day and happy Halloween! I hope everyone is going out on the razz tonight. Are you dressing up? I am! The house is stocked with mini bars of chocolate for the hordes of ghouls and goblins that will show up at the door and since I'm not in training for anything I can imbibe delicious rum to my heart's contentment. Huzzah to holidays.
But ya boo sucks to taxi fares. From the witching hour tonight taxi fares are going up 8.3 percent!! That's a helluva jump there old beans. This means the cost of hailing a taxi will rise to €4.10 at the standard rate and €4.45 at the premium rate. Not cheap I can tell you. And yet another reason to stay in of an evening.
But not tonight, oh no, tonight I'm out and about and marmalade bless Country Gay and his nefarious ways, I will be hobbnobbing it in style. Naturally I will awake tomorrow with the sand of doom pilling up into little dusty hillocks on my tongue, but I don't care. I don't have to DO anything tomorrow, I don't have to run anywhere. I can sit around like a normal person, sipping painkillers and groaning gently. Map my run? Kiss my bum.
Huzzah!
Have a good one freaks. Show 'em your pucker lovemuffintop. Folk need a bit of puckerin' on a ginger day.

Squeeee! I am Darling I totally am. My heel will be high, my hair tamed and glossier than my eyes were when I left the impromptu garden party. Cocktails before hand I think would be appropriate.

Are you joking? They'd slay me to reeces pieces? Better to butter them up and keep them in good spirits, oooooh.

(No I did not fall on my head today)

I once ghouled up myself and the hallway so successfully that the kids ran away from the house screaming....
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!

(the teenagers who trot around later, chancing their luck for a sugar hoard just gave me the 'whatever' look as they held open their plastic bags for heaps of sugar goo)

I have looked over my stash of candy and re-checked the weather forecast for tonight (clear and mild, dammit!), and I fear I will not have enough to get through the designated two hours of trick-or-treating...
I'm thinking about only giving candy to the kids who promise to demand that their parents and grandparents vote for Obama. Too heavy-handed?

Teenagers have that look down pat, they really do.
Grims, that's some fine and unbiased thinking. I would also make them repeat the following, 'Folksy ain't Cutesty'. Then dispense the goodies.

we made the mistake of buying candy a week ago, and have since picked it over pretty good - but i'll be surprised if we have any kids at all. nowadays they hold affairs in the mall and on main street so that kids can be part of an organized event, rather than running loose in the neighborhood.

and what's with the kids coming out at 4? i remember it all started no earlier than 7:30, and went til 10!

Last year I got all dressed up in a witchy outfit, cranked gregorian chant out the front windows and our doorbell rang a total of three times. Two legitimate trick-or-treaters and one pack of sullen 'tweens' who were really too old for it.

This year, I'm going to a Celtics game. I'm in costume as an awake person.

As the possessor of small children I am going trick or treating tonight too. I'm taking a 20% cut in their sweetie -takings for providing protection. They won't find a better protection racketeer in town, I tell ya.

Have a smashing one, baby! Howl at the moon!

I dressed up as a tree and was hanging around Stephens Green shouting out to my fallen brothers on the ground.

Happy Halloween FMC and All!
I had planned to go out for a bite but then who would give out the candy?
Plus I didn't sleep last night so it's early to bed for sure.

I'm sorry, but I'm still trapped in reruns of 'anal juice' and 'heated cat piss.'
